I’m a children’s illustrator and surface pattern designer based in England, creating colourful, playful artwork for books, products and brands.

 

With a career in art and design spanning more than two decades, I began as an in house textile designer in India before moving into surface pattern design and, later, children’s book illustration. My textile background continues to influence my work today — especially my love of colour, pattern, detail and playful storytelling.

 

I love creating artwork filled with character and little details to discover. Inspiration often comes from nature, everyday life, travel and adventures with my family.

 

Over the years, I’ve created illustrations and designs for children’s publishing, stationery, homeware, gifts and lifestyle products, working with publishers, brands and manufacturers through commissions and licensing.

 

Alongside my illustration and licensing work, I create my own collections for Alphonso Studio, available through my online shop and to retailers through Faire.

 

And when I’m not drawing, you’ll quite possibly find me baking — if I weren’t an illustrator, I’d probably be a baker!
